Bangkok as a capital city of Thailand is huge and has many districts compared with other cities in Thailand. These districts include:
Bang Rak - A dense and bustling district renowned for its skyscrapers. Patpong, Silom are notable areas here. Skytrain and MRT (Metro Access). Din Daeng - A Bangkok District with a heavy density of apartments. Fortune IT Mall and Esplanade Bangkok are here. Huai Khwang - Royal City Avenue, Thailands Cultural Centre, Ratchada Grand Theatre Klong Toei - A poorer neighbourhood of Bangkok, known for it's slums, Thailand Tobacco Monopoly Complex and a Shanty Town underneath the expressway. Lat Prao - Big C, Carrefour, Makro , The Mall, Tesco Lotus, Central Plaza, Union Mall Pathum Wan - Includes Siam Square, beginning of Sukumvit Road Prawet District - Includes the titan-sized mall Seacon Square. Sathorn - Old district with a few old temples. Watthana - A long 'wedge' district. Nearly all of Sukumvit Road which runs east to west. Notable areas include- Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Asoke.
