Prior to the CBR 250 the only comparable bike was the Kawasaki Ninja 250. This has been on the Thai market for some time already so when Honda announced the new CBR 250 in 2010 it set the biker scene a-buzz. With a new look and ABS as an option it makes a mark. Yet lacking more than one cylinder and a decent-sized tank (the Ninja has 2 cylinders and 18 litre fuel capacity) it looks to be aimed at city commuters and light touring as opposed to long-range adventuring work. It's certainly destined for the 'small bike' category with these limitations in mind.

It is fairly-priced though with Honda CBR 250s selling for 110,000 baht (115,000 with ABS) and the expat scene and Thai market are likely to take to this new offering from Honda.
Afforbable, fairly-fast and light, it makes a for a good sports bike in a city commute, yet some say it's increased weight is a problem (compared to the super-light CBR150.
