It's similar to a CBR 400 except the riding position is more upright and comfortable for long-hauls. A popular bike for beginners. Afforbable, fairly-fast and light, it makes a for a good sports bike in a city with overheating rarely a proplem. Often seen as the big brother to the CBR 400 for cruising and touring. The 1989 - 1992 model is considered the best VFR as it's the NC30 version which is reckoned to have superior handling and features. RVF 400REngine Capacity - 400cc 16 valve, V4. Liquid Cooled. Carb. Fuel Capacity - 15 litres (depending on year) Weight - 165 kg Year Built - 1994 - 1996 Max power - 52 bhp The successor to the VFR 400R. It's considered a good bike with pin-sharp-handling. The upside down forks allow a rider to change 'line' mid-corner compared to the fixed line of its predessesor. Oil filter changes may be tricky should an aftermarket exhaust kit be fitted. VFR 750FEngine Capacity - 750cc 16 valve, V4 Liquid Cooled. Carb. Fuel Capacity - 20 litres Weight - 230 kg (Wet) Year Built - 1986 - 1997 Max speed - 250 kph A tough mid-range touring bike that's uncommon to see in Thailand. Instead of the usual 5 gears for VFRs up to this model it has 6. VFR 800FEngine Capacity - 600cc 16 valve. 4 Cylinder. Liquid Cooled. Carb. Fuel Capacity - 22 litres Weight - 218 kg (dry) Year Built - 1998 - 2009 (superceded by VFR 1200F) Max speed - 220 kph Some consider this class of VFR to be the best of the series. It was produced as biking technology was improving and by 2002 recieved some high-spec features like anti-locking brakes and VTEC valves. In the US this was known as the 'Interceptor' in the UK and elsewhere the 'VFR' VFR 1200FEngine Capacity - 900cc 16 valve. 4 Cylinder. Liquid Cooled. Carb. Later increased to 925cc then up to 954cc in 2002-3. Fuel Capacity - 18.5 litres Weight - 267 kg (dry) Year Built - 2010 Onwards Max Power - 170 hp The new VFR model that's replaced the VFR 800R. Interestingly this new bike is not fitted with VTEC technology.
