Hua Hin Viewpoint

Khao Takiep

One of the primary viewpoints overlooking Hua Hin beach and the surrounding area.
Khao Takiep or Monkey Mountain it gets a lot of tourists from the nearby resorts.

The viewpoint is free of charge and there's plenty of parking plus facilities like restaurants and tourist junk shops nearby if you get hungry.

To get to the highest point on Khao Takiep you'll have to climb about a hundred or so steps to a temple summit.

Watch out for the monkeys as they are very cheeky and won't hestitate to grab any food or objects they take a fancy to.

Getting to Khao Takiep

Head south on Petchkasem Road, before the fly-over keep in the left-hand lane and go south, after about a minute or two of driving you'll see the road split, follow the left hand split and this will take you past old fishing boats and traditional Thai shops before winding up the mountain of Khao Takiep.
