Kamphaeng Pet City

Kamphaeng Pet is a medium-sized city in the center of Thailand.

You get hardly any tourists here thankfully so expect to be one of the few farang here. The expats that are here are friendly for the most part and quirky too.

This city used to be the first line of defence in times of old and still has a large section of the city walls in the northern district.

From here you can reach Nakhon Sawan to the south. Lampang to the north. 

The city is quite ordinary but has a decent nightlife for its size.

Kamphaeng Pet is in the central Thailand. The heat is a sharp contrast to the rain during the monsoon season. The temperature usually hits a peak in April or May. The wettest is normally September and the coldest is usually November.

Hot Season - March to May. Avg Temp - 31 C

Wet Season - June to September. Avg Temp - 28 C.
