Night Life In Patpong

One of Bangkok's raunchiest and naughty places. It's more touristic and a bit of a spectacle these days than a place for getting away and among the ladies. But it is by no means a place just for strolling around either.
If watching the staged 'shows' and seeing girls 'projecting' objects around is your thing then maybe you'll love this place. Go-go's are here too but there are considered to be the most expensive of the three night 'zones' and are not considered exceptional, unless the sleazy shows are your thing that is.
Hawkers, vendors and market stalls line up down Siloms soi's, with Patpong being no exception. Indeed, once you turn the corner into Patpong itself you'll see, by day time, it go from this:

A gold shop is on this side, blink and you'll miss it when you walk down the soi.

Around the Patpong there's a spill off of bars and some half-decent clubs.

If queers, gay's and ladyboys are your thing then stroll on down this soi above. It's packed full of them.

The next soi across has some girly zones, if, like Johnny, you accidently ended up walking down the gayzone, you may need this soi to 'refresh' and re-arm your before setting out once again!

Be wary if you're a newcomer to the Patpong scene as you'll have the hustlers trying to get you inside to watch the shows and pay the mega-bucks prices. Ignore 'em and keep on walking, there are better places to hang. I'm told Kings Castle is an exception to the show-scammers.

Getting to Patpong

One of the easiest ways is the handy MRT aka Subway system at Asoke OR the BTS station also at Asoke. Motorbike and taxi are the other usual methods but by car, as you can see by the perpetual traffic jam, it will take you some time...
